A critical examination of a range of theoretical and practical approaches to professional supervision. An in-depth exploration of the models of supervision for health, counselling and human service contexts, will include the development of anti-oppressive supervision practice and an integration of advanced knowledge, skills and values of supervision.

Learning outcomes
At completion of this course, students will be able to:- Critically examine a range of approaches to professional supervision including reference to key research findings.
- Discuss anti-oppressive and inclusive approaches to professional supervision.
- Model critical thinking in order to promote supervisees’ reflective and reflexive practice.
- Demonstrate a range of advanced strategies in professional supervision practice.
